LCS Appoints Zane Bennett to Vice President of Business Development

LCS has announced Zane Bennett has been named Vice President, Business Development. Bennett will lead efforts to expand LCS’s footprint, forge strategic partnerships, and drive sustainable growth across the organization.  

“Zane has been a respected leader within LCS since 2012, and will add a wealth of experience, strategic insight, and deep industry knowledge to this critical role,” said Rick Westermann, LCS SVP/Chief Marketing Officer. “His deep understanding of our business and the complexities of senior living management, combined with his energy and passion for growth, make him the ideal leader to take our business development efforts to the next level.”  

Over the past decade, Zane has held several community-based leadership roles, most recently serving as Executive Director at Porters Neck Village, where he will continue to provide operational support and guidance while supporting LCS’ growth strategy.  

Since 2021, he has played a pivotal role in LCS’s business development efforts, helping secure key communities, collaborations, and management agreements nationwide including the Charter House retirement community in Rochester, MN.  

Bennett serves as Vice President of the LCS Foundation Board and is an active board member of the LeadingAge North Carolina Foundation. He also contributes to leadership development as a coach for the LeadingAge NC Leadership Academy. A founding member of the American Senior Housing Association’s (ASHA) 40 for the Future, he continues to advocate for the senior housing industry’s growth and shared vision. He holds a bachelor’s in business administration degree in both management and marketing from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
