LCS Development and Mercy Ridge Announce Start of Extensive Community Renovation Project
Nov 10 2025LCS Development and Mercy Ridge are proud to announce the start of an extensive renovation project encompassing more than 75,000 square feet of the community’s Independent Living building corridors along with adjoining resident lounges and gathering spaces. Mercy Ridge is a premier continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Timonium, Maryland. LCS Community Operations™ provides management services and support for the community and its residents.
This is not a typical renovation — the scope and complexity of the project are heightened by the fact that Mercy Ridge remains nearly 100% occupied among its 408 Independent Living residences. The project team has spent months refining the design, specifications, and logistics to ensure that the work minimizes disruption to residents and team members while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.
“LCS Development is uniquely suited to lead this effort due to our depth and breadth of experience with complex, multi-discipline, in-place renovation projects,” said Dan Novelli, Director, LCS Development. “Our team understands the care, communication, and coordination it takes to execute major improvements in fully occupied senior living communities — and we’re proud to bring that expertise to Mercy Ridge.”
The renovation of Independent Living areas is expected to be completed by mid-fourth quarter 2027. At the same time, planning and design are underway for a comprehensive renovation of Mercy Ridge’s 35,000-square-foot commons and amenity spaces. This next phase will complete a holistic modernization of the community, ensuring its residents continue to enjoy a vibrant, contemporary lifestyle supported by exceptional amenities and care.
“This project represents years of thoughtful planning and collaboration,” said David Denton, Executive Director, Mercy Ridge. “We know how important it is to care for our residents and keep them well-informed and engaged throughout the planning and implementation of these much-anticipated improvements. We are deeply grateful for their patience, perspectives, and partnership as we work together to make our community even more extraordinary. The attention given to every detail of this endeavor truly reflects the spirit of our community.”
Nestled on a beautifully landscaped 32-acre campus in Timonium, Mercy Ridge offers a gracious retirement lifestyle with a full range of dining, recreational, and wellness amenities. The community’s CCRC model provides residents with peace of mind and the ability to thrive at every stage of retirement.
