Wesley Pines and LCS Development Commemorate Construction Milestone

Jun 29 2026

LCS Development and Wesley Pines in Lumberton, North Carolina, are celebrating a construction milestone for the community’s new, $11 million renovation project, as residents, staff and project team members gathered to sign and place the final sheet of plywood on the project last week.

The project will convert semi-private healthcare rooms to private accommodations, add private suites, construct a new therapy suite, and create a new activity zone, while renovating and expanding dining options.

“This major investment by United Methodist Retirement Homes is a sign of their commitment to ensuring that Wesley Pines continues to be a premier option for seniors in North Carolina," said Jeff Louk, Project Development Manager, LCS Development. "We are proud to continue this partnership with the Wesley Pines team.”

Wesley Pines is located on a picturesque 49-acre campus and is Lumberton’s first and only continuing care retirement community (CCRC), offering residents access to a full continuum of care and a vibrant lifestyle.  The project is expected to be completed in early 2027.

The community is owned by United Methodist Retirement Homes (UMRH) and LCS Community Operations™ provides operational support to the community and its residents.
