LCS Achieves 100% Community Participation in ICAA Foundations of Wellness Program

Sep 29 2026

LCS has reached a significant milestone in its commitment to resident wellness and well-being: at least one team member from each of its senior living communities is certified through the International Council on Active Aging® (ICAA) Foundations of Wellness program.

The achievement establishes an organization-wide foundation of 308 team members with advanced wellness knowledge as LCS prepares to launch LCS Life+™, a personalized wellness lifestyle experience built around four core pillars — Connection, Movement, Nutrition and Longevity. LCS Life+ will be offered across LCS-owned and managed communities, and the number of team members completing the program continues to grow.

“By investing in our team members and expanding their knowledge of wellness best practices, we are building the capacity to create meaningful, personalized experiences that support connection, movement, nutrition and longevity,” said Sharon Roth Maguire, LCS SVP/Chief Health & Wellness & Resident Experience Officer. “Ultimately, that investment in our people becomes an investment in the well-being of every resident we serve.”

The ICAA Foundations of Wellness program is a comprehensive educational experience designed for professionals working in older-adult wellness and active aging. The program explores the foundations of wellness, wellness science, best practices and strategies for developing effective wellness programs and cultures that support well-being.

Through the program, LCS team members developed knowledge and practical skills that can be applied within their communities, while gaining a common wellness philosophy, framework and language that will support the broader implementation of LCS Life+.

“This is an important step in creating a shared foundation for wellness across LCS,” Roth Maguire added. “While every community and every resident is unique, having team members throughout our organization grounded in common wellness principles gives us an opportunity to learn from one another, share best practices and continue elevating the resident experience. Reaching all 115 communities is an important milestone, but it is also a starting point for what comes next.”
