LCS Welcomes National Brain Health Expert Dr. Cynthia Green to Its Health & Wellness Advisory Board

Dec 15 2025

LCS has announced the appointment of nationally recognized brain health and dementia expert Dr. Cynthia Green to its Health & Wellness Advisory Board (HWAB). Dr. Green is widely regarded as one of the country’s leading authorities on brain wellness and cognitive aging.

A clinical psychologist and assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Green serves as president of Total Brain Health, a pioneering organization dedicated to making science-based brain wellness accessible, sustainable, and engaging for all. She is the author of six books—including Your Best Brain Ever, named a Wall Street Journal “Top Guide to Life After 50,” and Through the Seasons: An Activity Book for Memory-Challenged Adults and Their Caregivers—and actively contributes to national conversations on aging as a member of the International Council on Active Aging’s industry advisory board and the Dementia Action Alliance’s Wellness Committee.

Supporting a Wellness Mindset in Senior Living
“The LCS Health & Wellness Advisory Board reflects our commitment to a holistic wellness mindset—one that enriches the lives of residents and empowers team members across the full continuum of care,” said Sharon Maguire, SVP/Chief Health & Wellness/Resident Experience Officer.  “A wellness-centered approach allows us to provide thoughtful, personalized support that honors each resident’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual well-being every step of the way.”

Leveraging a Board of Experts
The HWAB brings together nationally respected experts in epidemiology, geriatrics, gerontology, population health, environmental design, infectious disease, air quality, and post-acute care management. In addition to Dr. Green, members of the LCS Health & Wellness Advisory Board include:

  • Dr. Jamison Feramisco, M.D., Ph.D.
  • Joseph Eisenberg, Ph.D., M.P.H.
  • Dr. Stephanie Taylor, M.D., M. Arch.
  • Dr. Elliott Kroger, M.D., FACP
  • Dr. Roy S. Rogers III, M.D.

While advisory in nature, the board provides critical guidance in select areas that help shape LCS initiatives, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of health, safety, and quality-of-life innovations for older adults.
