LCS Development and United Methodist Retirement Homes Launch Two Community Expansion Projects
Dec 16 2025LCS Development has launched two major expansion projects at two North Carolina United Methodist Retirement Homes (UMRH) communities — Croasdaile Village in Durham and Wesley Pines in Lumberton.
“Closing financing and breaking ground on these exciting projects is a testament to our shared commitment to enhancing the health, wellness and quality of life for these communities current and future residents,” said Dan Novelli, Director, LCS Development. “We are proud to bring our expertise to each of these incredible projects.”
UMRH is the third largest senior living operator in North Carolina and is widely recognized for its commitment to quality care and service – both of which are enhanced by its longstanding partnership with LCS Community Operations™ who provides management services and support for both UMRH communities and their residents.
“UMRH is a special organization with a remarkable legacy of serving seniors across North Carolina,” said Tommy Brewer, Managing Director, Ziegler. “We are proud to be able to partner with UMRH, LCS, and LCS Development and to help bring new units and meaningful enhancements to both Croasdaile Village and Wesley Pines.”
Croasdaile Village (Durham, NC)
Estimated project completion: Mid-2027
Nestled on a scenic 100-acre campus, the community offers open spaces and proximity to Durham’s rich cultural offerings. The $82 million project will introduce 58 (50-net) new independent living apartments – all of which are pre-sold - in a combination of cottage and hybrid home configurations. Plans also include under-building parking, a fitness center expansion, staff lounge enhancements, and renovations to kitchen and dining areas, along with new outdoor amenities.
Wesley Pines (Lumberton, NC)
Estimated project completion: Early 2027
At Wesley Pines, the $11 million project will convert semi-private healthcare rooms to private accommodations, add private suites to maintain census, construct a new therapy suite, and create a new activity zone, while renovating and expanding dining options. Located on a picturesque 49-acre campus, Wesley Pines is Lumberton’s first and only continuing care retirement community (CCRC), offering residents access to a full continuum of care and a vibrant lifestyle.
